The City of Conneaut Fire Department (CFD) responds to over 2,000 incidents yearly throughout the city including fire suppression, emergency medical service, technical rescue, inspections and code enforcement, fire prevention, training and more. The Department is staffed by a full-time chief, nine full-time fire rescue personnel, 15 part-time utility personnel and seven on-call individuals.  The CFD operates out of two stations within the city limits - Department Headquarters/Station #1 at 294 Main Street and Station #3 at 392 Middle Road.

Personnel:

• Full-time Fire Chief: works 40 hours a week (M-F) and subject to recall
• Fire Rescue Personnel: 9 personnel work 24 hrs on and 48 hrs off, 3 persons per 24hr shift. 
• Part-time Personnel: 15 utility personnel that work fill-in when full-time firefighters are off and augment the shifts with a 4th member from 7 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week.
• On Call Personnel: 7 personnel respond to Station # 3 from home to handle calls and assist on large incidents.
